NASA IMAGES DISCOVER ANCIENT BRIDGE BETWEEN INDIA & SRI LANKA
HISTORICAL RAMA (VIDEO-40Min)
Space
images taken by NASA reveal a mysterious ancient bridge in the Palk
Strait between India and Sri Lanka. The recently discovered bridge
currently named as Adam’s Bridge is made of chain of shoals, c.18 mi (30
km) long.
The
bridge’s unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man
made. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the
first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a
primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge’s age is also
almost equivalent.
This
information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious
legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in treta
yuga (more than 1,700,000 years ago).
In
this epic, there is a mentioning about a bridge, which was built
between Rameshwaram (India) and Srilankan coast under the supervision of
a dynamic and invincible figure called Rama who is supposed to be the
incarnation of the supreme.
This
information may not be of much importance to the archeologists who are
interested in exploring the origins of man, but it is sure to open the
spiritual gates of the people of the world to have come to know an
ancient history linked to the Indian mythology.

SRI LANKA HISTORY
The
first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the Stone
Age, about 1.750.000 million years ago. These people are said to have
come from the South of India and reached the Island through a land
bridge connecting the Indian subcontinent to Sri Lanka named Adam’s
Bridge. This is related so in the epic Hindu book of Ramayana.
ADAM’S BRIDGE
Rama’s
Bridge, chain of shoals, c.18 mi (30 km) long, in the Palk Strait
between India and Sri Lanka. At high tide it is covered by c. 4 ft (1.2
m) of water. A steamer ferry links Rameswaram, India, with Mannar, Sri
Lanka. According to Hindu legend, the bridge was built to transport
Rama, hero of the Ramayana, to the island to rescue his wife Sita from
the demon king Ravana.
EPIC RAMAYAN
‘Ramayan ‘is an epic by Valmiki. This is the source book of all Ram –kathas.
Only for its being an epic, does not mean that it is not based on historical facts. Can we
reject facts of life covered in epics written on Budha and even on
Indira Gandhi ? All the places, mentioned in Ramayan are geographically
supported and they still remain geographical identities. Even the routes, Ram covered, during his
exile, remain unchallenged. Ram was born in Ayodhya and was married
in Jankpur of present Bihar, remain intact with lot many evidences , in many forms.
War between Ram and Ravan was, by no means a war between Aryan and
Dravidian. This statement is a product of vote – politics even at the cost of
damage of faith and brotherhood between the fellow countrymen.
Raven might be a Brahmin by caste (as M Karunanidhi loudly pronounces,
though he is never known as a pro Brahmin fellow) and a powerful king,
but abduction of others wife by him does not support high standard of his
character and sense of respect for high values, It was his cowardly act. He
himself had tried to tie the string to the well known bow of the Shiva to
achieve Sita, but what of tying the string to
the bow, to fulfill the promise of king Janak to marry with Sita , he, even
could not move the bow an inch ahead from the place it was kept
Ram attacked on Ravan to free his abducted wife from the powers of evils.
Presenting Ravan as a symbol of Dravidians is an insult of a whole community.
Even if Ravan was an arya, Ram must have attacked and destroyed him in the
same manner.
Several doubts about the pre existence of path between Lanka and Bharat
before Setu was built.
Raven had visited Bharat before Ram, several times.
He went to Janakpur and tried to tie the string to the famous bow of Shiva to
marry with Sita as per conditions fixed by King Janak.
He came to Dandkaranya with Marich and abducted Sita.
What way he followed then, sky, earth or the ocean? Ramayan says, he used aerial car
, named Pushpak, forcefully occupied from his brother Kubeir . (Ramayana,
Aranya kand, shloka 29)
Ravan had established a huge army base in Bharat under the command of his
sister Surpnakha, around Dandakaranya. She operated this huge army
with the help of her two brothers, khar and Dushan. She had made this area as
an area of terror. Nobody dared to cross through this area during day or night.
Surpanakha went to Ram with a marriage proposal, but could not succeed.
After losing her nose and ears, Surpanakha went to Ravan, her brother.
How Surpanakha reached to Lanka? Ramayan has not talked of the means.
Her army consisted of thousands of soldiers.
Ram destroyed her whole army for ever.
(Ramayana, Aranykand from canto xix to xxx)
But the doubt remains to be dealt with- how and by what means soldiers of
such a huge army used to reach to Bharat?
Hanuman crossed the ocean and reached Lanka by jumping mountain to
mountain, situated in the ocean. (Ramayana , Sundarkand,canto 1 shlokas174 -213 )
Spies, appointed by Ravan, lived on some of these mountains .Some of them tried
to stop Hanuman.
According to Ramayan, the Ram Setu was built in five days, under the supervision
of his army engineer Nala, with the help of thousands of vanar soldiers of his army.
The bridge built was eight miles wide and eight hundred miles long across the ocean.
(Ramayana, Yudhhakand, canto xxii, shlokas 45 to 67)
This all means that some unchained and discontinued high path base existed across the
ocean, before it was properly built by Ram, otherwise it was not possible to built
such a huge setu within five days, that too through the ocean.
